Be rest assured however that it\u2019s unlikely the case. Scratching in walls is actually a sign that you could have a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prokill.co.uk\/rodents\/\">rodent infestation<\/a>. While this is preferable to going crazy of course, it\u2019s still not ideal.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div data-canvas-width=\"600.1119999999997\">How do you know for sure you have a mouse or rat infestation however and it\u2019s not simply a tree limb brushing against the house on a windy day or noisy neighbours?<\/div>\n<p><strong>Signs scratching in walls is a rodent infestation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The sound is particularly noticeable at night (rodents are more likely to be active at this time because there\u2019s less chance of humans being around)<\/li>\n<li>You may notice droppings around your home<\/li>\n<li>There are signs of chewing \u2013 they may have gnawed away at insulation, floorboards, furniture, food items or skirting boards<\/li>\n<li>There\u2019s a strange ammonia smell in your home<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div data-canvas-width=\"252.75199999999995\">If you notice any of these signs, please <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prokill.co.uk\/contact-us\/\">call a local pest controller<\/a> as soon as possible.
